Room 7 Assembly Week 2, Term 2

Well done everyone for a super turn at taking assembly. The children all practised their parts and Jolly Olly was great. I was so impressed with the way the children behaved on stage...they made their teacher very proud :-)

Percy Possum Adventures Week 2 Term 2

Percy and I went to a Disco party. The party was for Amber's 3rd birthday. Amber is Nathan's sister. The snacks were delicious! Percy stole a calamari ring while I wasn't looking. Percy was a little shy at first. Then he saw everyone having so much fun he decided to join in. My mum got 3 photos of Percy dancing. He had a glowing ring on his tail. It would be easier for him to dance if Percy's hands weren't sewn together.  Percy and I got a prize from DJ Rocks for doing fantastic dancing. I learnt a new dance move called the jump shuffle. Our prize was a little bag of lollies and raisins. I ate the lollies and gave the raisins to Ruby my dog. My sister Emma won bubbles. Thank you Mrs. Macro for letting me have Percy for the weekend. We had awesome fun together! Percy helped to make me feel better on Friday when I wasn't feeling very well.  LB

Percy Possum Adventures Week 1 Term 2

Percy helped Gabbi open her presents. Percy had fun at gymsport. Percy favourite party food was popcorn. I liked the cheerio sausages. My friends had a sleepover and Percy slept with us. I had a great weekend with Percy Possum. Thank you Mrs Macro. HS

“Hi everyone, this is my new friend, Freddy. You may have seen him in the library. He loves reading too!  We have something exciting to tell you...the librarians are going to choose two people every lunch time who are showing fantastic library behaviour to put their names in a special box. At the end of term we will draw one name out and that person will get a special reading prize pack. Cool aye? So remember to read and walk quietly while you are in the library.”

Hi there room 7 parents,

Kia ora my name is Paula Pearce and I'm the student teacher in Room 7 for the next four weeks. I am absolutely excited to be a part of your children's learning. From the time that I have spent in the classroom so far, I can tell they are all fantastic students who are willing to learn and happy to be in the classroom. I am also looking forward to finding out more about bugs!

Term Two

Welcome back to school. I hope everyone had a great holiday. Our inquiry topic this term is Insects and we have already got off on a super learning journey. We are extremely lucky to have student teacher Paula Pearce with us for four weeks this term. So please come in and introduce yourselves to her if you get the opportunity. The children have been practicing their assembly item and are looking forward to their big moment on stage this week. We look forward to seeing you on Friday.
